In bond. On origin soil. Always.
Every cask in Golden Casks custody is held in a third-party bonded warehouse on its origin soil — HMRC in Scotland, CRT in Mexico, estate-bonded across the Caribbean.
One discipline, three regions.
Scotland
All Scottish casks rest in HMRC-bonded third-party warehouses on Scottish soil. Each cask carries a delivery order held against the custodian's name, with continuous audit trail and independent valuation.
Jalisco, Mexico
Tequila casks remain at the producing house's bonded facility under the supervision of the Consejo Regulador del Tequila, which audits authenticity from agave field through to bottling.
Caribbean & Demerara
Heritage rum casks rest in licensed bonded facilities at the producing estate (Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, Cuba, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Guyana), with documented chain of custody held against the custodian's name.
Six quiet promises.
Single-Lot, Named Casks
Every cask is a single, named lot — not a fractional share. The cask has a number, a fill date, a warehouse, and a chalk mark with your name on it.
Independent Annual Valuation
Valuation is set each year by a recognised third-party cask specialist familiar with the relevant region. Golden Casks does not set the valuation in isolation.
All-Risks Insurance
Comprehensive cover for fire, theft and warehouse loss at the cask's in-warehouse value, included in the annual custody fee.
Transparent Custody Fees
A simple, single annual custody fee covers warehousing, insurance and routine re-gauging. No hidden margins, no per-event fees.
Visit Your Cask
Warehouse visits arranged on request, with the bonded warehouse keeper. Many custodians find this the most quietly affecting part of holding a cask in the first place.
Quiet Exit
When the time is right, we coordinate the next step — private bottling under your own label, broker-led private sale, or auction — on your timeline rather than ours.
An allocation built around what you actually want to own.
Each conversation begins the same way — with a long answer to a short question. Tell us what you are exploring, and we will tell you what is in the cellar.
